VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System

Volunteers will play a critical role at the wheelchair games. We will need close to 3,000 individuals to assist with all aspects of the Games — everything from helping bowlers take aim to passing out water during rugby matches.

Almost anyone can volunteer. 
Interested participants must be at least 14 years old and be willing to pitch in and help our athletes for at least four hours of one day. There are many volunteer opportunities including:

• Assisting with athletic events
• Serving meals
• Handing out water, towels and ice
• Escorting Veterans
