Get ready to walk and roll at VA's third annual nationwide 2K event supporting National Employee Wellness Month. The goal of the VA2K event (about 1.2 miles) is to promote health in a fun atmosphere while drawing attention to needs of the homeless Veterans. This year there will be live music at each site and employee fitness therapists who will conduct group instruction on seated exercises.
Meeting Locations
This is not a race! All people may participate safely. Veterans, outpatients and community residents are invited to participate at the H.J. Heinz campus. There is no pre-registration or registration fee, but participants are encouraged to donate a food or clothing item for a homeless Veteran.

Jumpstart Your Fitness Routine
May 15 coincides with National Employee Health and Fitness Day. VA’s employee wellness program, called WIN (Wellness is Now), inspires VA staff and Veterans to live healthier lifestyles and reduce preventable injuries and illnesses.
Why walk? Walking strengthens your cardiovascular system, tones muscles, increases flexibility and can help shed pounds and reduce stress. Even a moderate amount of exercise daily can improve your health. Use VA2K to start your fitness plan.
