Shuttle Plus – free shuttle service between University Drive and Fisher House, Research Office Building (ROB) and Federal Building.

Eligible Veterans may receive round-trip transportation services from their home to the medical center, mileage reimbursement, or special mode transport in association with obtaining VA health care services. Learn how you may qualify.

Traveling to Pittsburgh *
Many local accommodations are available Veterans and visitors. In general, visitors to VA Pittsburgh are not permitted to stay overnight in the medical center. Veterans and their families may be eligible for the following:
- Hoptel and Lodging Program – Our Hoptel program provides temporary overnight lodging to eligible Veterans for outpatient medical procedures.
- Fisher House – The 10-bedroom Pittsburgh Fisher at our University Drive campus provides a place for visiting families to stay, free of charge, while their loved ones receive inpatient medical care at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
