Wheelchair, Seating and Power Mobility Clinic
Are you having difficulties walking? Our Wheelchair, Seating and Power Mobility Clinic can evaluate you for the proper device, whether that may be a cane, walker, scooter, manual wheelchair or power wheelchair. After identifying the device that best fits your needs, we’ll work with you to achieve your mobility goals.
How We Can Help
VA Pittsburgh’s Wheelchair, Seating and Power Mobility Clinic team of experts can help you identify your mobility challenges and find effective solutions, including:
- Initial evaluation for mobility devices
- Adjustments to mobility devices to ensure they best fit your needs
- Progressive needs planning for degenerative conditions, including special services for Veterans diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease) to address their unique mobility needs
What Can I Expect?
At your first appointment, we will conduct a comprehensive mobility review, including a review of your medical history, mobility challenges and your mobility and lifestyle goals. We will also identify mobility devices that best fit your medical need and mobility goals. Follow-up appointments allow for adjustments of your mobility devices and upgrades as necessary.
